In my opinion, the MiterSet tool is the easiest to use, most accurate way to set up miter angles for cutting segments on the table saw. No more hours spent in calibration. No more fixing "gaposis". Click here to visit miterset.com and learn all about it. Now Rockler has a competing product and I'm using it as well. It'll be interesting to compare them,

The Ring Master was invented by a carpenter, I believe, early in the 20th Century. It provides a means of precisely cutting rings from blanks of wood or plastic that can be stacked and glued to form bowls, vases, etc. The result is essentially a layered project but there is no reason why a layer cannot be cut from built-up material and feature rings may be added to a project just like normal segmented turning activities.

SPP supports use of the Ring Master in several ways; one being the allocation of rings to planks as shown on the right. The program also provides for one-click conversion of frame-miter and compound miter rings/projects for Ring Master use.
