In my opinion, the MiterSet tool is the easiest to use, most accurate way to set up miter angles for cutting segments on the table saw. No more hours spent in calibration. No more fixing "gaposis". Click here to visit miterset.com and learn all about it. Now Rockler has a competing product and I'm using it as well. It'll be interesting to compare them,

Segment Painting - It's what separates SPP from the rest of the crowd

Once you have your project shape, it's time to think about adornments/decorations; what we call the feature ring. And segment painting is a good way for you to see what your project will really look like when it's finished. What can you paint a segment with?

You can paint a segment with almost anything, specifically:

How do you paint a segment? It's really easy. Just pick what you want to paint with and right-click, with the mouse, on the segment you want to paint. Right-click on that same segment again, and the color/paint goes away. If you already have some segments painted in a project, a Left-click on a painted segment will retrieve its paint so you can use it to paint other segments. For people with 1-button mice, use Shift-click instead of Right-click. There are also shortcuts that allow you to paint a whole ring and other actions with just one click.
